2024 wasn’t a big writing year for me, and despite my best intentions, 2025 turned out the same way. While I want to write more, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to get back into the groove.
I’ve fallen into a frustrating pattern: I start a massive, ambitious piece, feel I need to finish it before writing about anything else, and then, combined with my general insecurity around writing, I end up posting nothing.
But you know what? One sure-fire way to improve, even just a little bit, is to simply start. As wise Jake the Dog once said:
Dude, sucking at sumthin’ is the first step towards being sorta good at something.

So, internet, consider yourself warned: I’ve got words to share, and I’ve almost stopped letting perfectionism get in the way!
In that spirit of simplicity, I’ve also refactored my website to use PicoCSS. It’s a great little framework that lets me focus on the content. Exactly what I need right now.
